Should I get SLI or a new graphics card instead?

I am having a tough time choosing some new components for my build.
In my build right now, I have these compoments:
Asus GeForce 770 2GB
Intel Core i5-4570 processor
Corsair Vengeance ddr3 16 GB
Asus B85-plus Socket 1150 motherboard
Corsair TX 650W PSU
WD Black 1TB
Samsung 840 EVO SSD

I would like better graphics in new and upcoming games, and right now I am running 2 1080p screens, 1 with 144Hz and one 60Hz.

I have considered getting another 770, but I know if i do that, I need to get a new PSU, motherboard and a cpu block aswell.
So the PSU, motherboard and cpu block, I have considered these:
ASUS SABERTOOTH Z97 MARK 1, Socket-1150
Corsair RM1000, 1000W PSU
Corsair H80i or Corsair H100i

However, nvidia has just launched the new 900 series, So I have considered the Asus 970 instead. because the 970 gives me about 30% more performance and requires a lot less wattage than the 770. So I would sell my 770, and buy a 970 instead.

I would like to pay 800 US dollars at most, but it would be nice to pay a lot less :)
So what do you think i should do and why?

I would go for the 970 or maybe even a 980 as you get money from selling the 770. I would also say that meteors good point maybe try and wait out for the 20nm process or pascal archetecture as the 770 is no push over
Yes for 2x 770 SLI you will need a new PSU a 750 watt minimum which would cost you around 100$.Plus the gtx 970 is 15-20% stronger and faster the gtx 780 so its at least 35- 40 % more stronger than the gtx 770 a new gtx 770 will cost you around 250$ and if you add up the PSU then it would cost you the same as a new gtx 970 and if you are playing in 1080p then gtx 970 will max out any game at very good fps so if you can sell your old card for 150$ or so then you have to spent around 200$ for the gtx 970 .

You can't game on 2 screens, 1 or 3 or 5. Imagine where the cursor would be on FPS games :)
Upgrading to GTX 970 will give you a 20-30% boost, but I'd rather wait for 20nm chips as 770 is still a fairly powerful card. You don't need a CPU block even if you Quad SLI, CPU and GPU temps are unrelated. And I don't see the need for SLI on single display. I'd upgrade to 970 or something better (which shall release next year).

Wonder who told you that...:p

You sir are my guiding beacon here :D :bounce:
