I'm building a new rig, my cpu will be the devil's canyon i7 4790k. I was wondering, would it be better to hook up my cpu to a closed loop water cooler like a corsair h100i or would it also be okay to just leave the stock cooler on and change it a year from now (cuz lack of funds)?

Also, what're the benefits of stock cooler vs water cooler?

Thanks guys!

the stock cooler is... crap
but if you don´t plan on OCing and don´t realy do CPU intensive tasks i.e. video rendernig etc. you can use it.
I´d buy an AIO watercooler asap though

If you´re just gaming though you may want to consider the i5 4690k and an AIO watercooler you´d end up paying about as much as you do for the 4790k itself

I would suggest that you hold onto the stock cooler until you get the funds. The only benefits of getting a cooler now would be if you plan to overclock immediately after purchasing the CPU. I would assume that you are buying the K version because of the ability to overclock.
