My system specs

600W PSU
GTX 650ti
2 Internal sata hard drives
20 inch LCD monitor
Creative 2.1 Speaker

Can anyone please tell me the power rating of the UPS that i need in V/Watts .. i just need UPS to shutdown the system when power goes off.. i have a standard 1KV UPS, it was working well at beginning.. i replaced battery once and for few days it just gets immediately off when power goes out.. am feared if it may damage my PC..

Also please give me some advice on correct usage of UPS.. In the sense can I keep my system on always , can I keep the power to UPS on always like that..

Hello,

Go for another 1000VA PSU; before that, check again your PSU's batteries, maybe there is a loose connection (or maybe you bought some very low-quality batteries).

Normally, your setup will be fine with an 1000VA UPS; for an exact calculus of the required power, please give us your complete setup' specs (CPU, PSU model, monitor model, speaker's model, etc.).

A good quality UPS can be used 24/7 with no problems. The main issue is when you have lots and lots of power outages, as the batteries will not have the time to properly recharge and the back-up time will decrease rapidly. If this is the case, you can go for a higher-capacity UPS (or, ideally, an UPS which can accomodate external batteries); you should also turn off the UPS when you're not using the PC.

It seems that your UPS is not working properly. Either its life is over or their is some fault in it. But, as you have mentioned that you have recently changed its battery so it shows that there is some fault. I would suggest just consult to some technician.
