Low FPS help

I use to get 120 fps in league of legends and now i get 40fps and the other games i play is laggy aswell can someone help me

What is your system specs? Could be heat build up or background programs, but cannot know until we know the hardware.

are you sure it's not an internet connection problem? i mean a slow down on the connection between your ISP and the LoL server?

dont think thats the problem but what i noticed now is that if i go on youtube aswell the videos are laggy quality could there be a driver problem or a problem with the graphics card

ok then if your that sure then did you upgrade your motherboard drivers? GPU drivers? BIOS? after that run a diagnostics on your HDD.

Did you install some apps that run in the background? With 4Gb of RAM, it's easy to run out of RAM while gaming.
