my new gaming build

hi, so i have tried building a gaming pc for the first time myself, rather than getting kit built or suggested systems, this is what i have purchased, please tell me if everything should be ok.

CPU - amd fx-9370 4.7
psu - evga 1000w
mobo - asus crosshair v formula z
gfx - evga 970
ram - 16gb kingston hyper x beast 2133
case - zalman z11
cooling - corsair h90, 3x corsair 120mm fans
hard drive - 120gb kingston gaming x ssd and 1tb hdd

so this will be my system built in about 10days time, "waiting on stock of the gfx card" anything you think i should change? all suggestions appreciated! thanks

what are you going to do with your PC? Since that fx-9370 is an absolute beast to try to cool. I believe you would be better off with a faster i7 4790K.

mostly gaming. and i am not in the loop when it comes to intel tech, always been an amd guy. although my next build i was planning to look down the intel side of things!

Right now, AMD has bad cpus, they are years older than intels latest CPUs.

For example your amd FX 9370 consumes 220W of power, but is only equal to a overclocked intel core i7 2700K from 2+ years ago. While you have a haswell intel core i7 4790K that consumes only 84W but is faster than fx 9370 at stock speeds.

What is your budget?

well, no real budget at all, just been buying components last few days. when money comes on payday it goes on pc bits

but is it to late to swap to intel now? since i have the mobo and other bits here?

ah yeah it is too late, oh well. The FX 9370 isn't a bad cpu, but it is a power hog. I suggest getting the FX 8370 instead.
