ASUS M5A97 R2.0

Cooler Master Hyper 103

Intel 520 120GB SSD bulk

Western Digital Blue 1000GB 64MB cache

SAPPHIRE R9 270X DUAL-X OC BOOST

Fortron Blue Storm 500W, 80 Plus Bronze

this is my build. I have a problem with video. Its hard to describe. When playing games like Diablo 3, Sleeping Dogs, Saintsrow IV, Dota 2 suddenly a thin white stripes of light start to flicker on monitor. They are not very visible but very annoying. When the game is full screen the stripes only appear in game but when the game is set to windowed mode the stripes appear everywhere. I dont know if this is a correct forum to ask if anyone knows what could cause the problem, but any help is appreciated.

I think it is equivalent to a CX series, which is a TIER 3. Tier 3 is okay, but you a higher risk of having more issues in the future.

I would change out the PSU first, if that isn't the problem return it.
Next try the GPU.

I have tried updating drivers, even completely removing them and installing them again

I have also tried using a different graphic card R5670 CYCLONE 1G (my old one) the problem is still there

The psu was used in my old build with the r5670 and there was no such problem, should i get more powerful one ?

The problem appears even on lowest possible settings (its less noticeable but its still there)

Not on the old graphic card.
I did a small overclock on the new one (used msi afterburner) but i reset it shortly after.

Okay so if you have already removed your drivers and did a fresh install of them, it sounds to me like a bad GPU.

I would backup my data and reinstall windows (format HDD).

If it still happens then it is most likely a bad GPU. It could also be a PSU that isn't feeding the GPU properly, but that might be more difficult to figure out.

i have already tried reinstaling windows. its probably psu but i dont want to waste 50-60euro on a new one just to find out its something else. Would this psu be sufficient Corsair VS650 ?
