I am currently running windows 7 64-bit and I want to create a virtual machine on my computer running Mac OS X maverick but I can't seem to get it to work any help?

Solution

Running OSX in a virtualmachine is worthless. There's no support for QE/CI so most of the applications will not run. You also must use an unsupported patch for VMWare Workstation and use an Intel microprocessor.

Disclaimer: I won't provide any links here as you are technically breaking the OS X license by running on non-mac hardware, even if you do own a copy of OS X. This is purely informational.

Installing OS X on VMware is not as easy as installing Windows or Linux. Do a Google search for "mavericks osx86 vmware" and you should get some useful results/guides. If you do a little digging on the web, you can find some preinstalled OS X VMware images where the hard work is already done.
