So, i'm sure you guys get a billion threads on gaming builds, but i still hope you'll be of help.

I'm looking at a build on just the tower of $900-$1100.
I don't have a definitive parts list. Right now i'm using the Logical Increments (i'm looking at the excellent tier and the first rung of the outstanding tier) page as a sort of bible on what parts to pick. But alas, i'm a newbie. Right now I want to get an i7 to future proof, even though they don't have much of an advantage over i5s in gaming right now. But is that even practical seeing as how they're so much more expensive? Honestly any guidance and advice would be greatly appreciated.

If you don't want to click the link, a potential parts list i'm choosing is as follows:
R9 290
i5 4590
Mugen 4 HSF
GIGABYTE GA-Z97X-UD3H Mobo
128GB Sandisk SSD
Rosewill CAPSTONE-650
Corsair 500R
8GB of Ram

I don't have any intentions of overclocking. As said before i'm a bit of a child when it comes to PC builds. Heck, i'm running on my buddies old Core 2 Duo! Any help greatly appreciated!

This is a great beginners build. Really solid and you will not need the i7 to future proof. It just isn't worth it. Games honestly do not tax the CPU too hard (besides Minecraft)cand the i5 will do just fine.
