WiFI network adapter nowhere to be found

Hi

So to start of, i'm not really sure on "network adapter" being the right word for what's gone missing. In danish it's "netværkskort" which roughly translates to "network adapter". If what i'm about to say sounds wrong, it might be the reason, but the problem should still be understandable.

Computer is asus n53sv.

So today i had some problems with WiFi. It has, for the past month, been acting up (going extremely slow) about 3 times, but rebooting solved it everytime. Today, however, something new happened. I was listening to music and as i plugged in my speakers in the minijack, the sound starting being laggy with sudden buzzes. I think my computer also lagged with the buzzes, but i'm not sure. After 30 seconds or so, the wifi also turned off, unable to find any networks. This was solved by a reboot.
In the beginning, i didn't think there was any connection, but when i tried plugging in my speakers, it happened again. I had been using my computer for hours up until that without speakers, but as i plugged in my speakers problems starting appearing again. Reboot solved it again.
3rd time however, i wanted to test it. Same thing happened. Except this time, reboot hasn't solved it. And my wifi networks adapter has left me without a trace. It's not under Device manager, nor
under the connections (it only shows ethernet)

Any suggestions? I've tried reinstalling drivers, without succes (not entirely sure if they were right drivers).

Thanks for any help.

UPDATE: As i installed some optional updates to windows, and it rebooted, i've got my wifi back. It's a miracle! Also seems that plugging in minijack doesn't make the sound stutter. Still would like to hear what you make of sound stuttering resulting in networks failure.

I think it's in properly (because it seems to be working now).
Either way, it's hard to acces since my computer is a laptop
