I've heard a lot, about how decent of a card it is, but I've heard a lot more about how "mediocre" it is.

I would love to know how this card can do on 1080p gaming, if someone could give me a nice set of (toms) benchmarks, that would be amazing.

That's not my only concern, should I even consider buying it? And just wait, gather some more cash, and save for a 970?

I'll probably only be using one monitor, but may upgrade in the future.

use Toms Hardware Best Graphics cards for the money article (October 2014 release). Once you research that, compare with your budget and then look at future releases to see if its worth waiting on buying now.

Currently I'm not seeing the 760 as a value on that list. AMD claims the midrange spots with their 280/290 cards while the 970 and 780Ti claim best value for 330 and above for high end.

Personally, if you don't want to drop down 500 bucks on a card, get the 970 for $330 and you'll be happy. If $330 is too steep, go AMD
