CPU Strength and Compatability

So, I currently have a Intel® Pentium® Processor G3220 as my processor and I was wondering whether the Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor E6850 or the Intel® Pentium® Processor G3220 was more powerful?

Also, I was wondering whether the Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor E6850 would be compatible with my computer since the Intel® Pentium® Processor G3220 was compatible with it?

A 4000 serries one, yes.

What is your motherboard?
If it is an OEM computer (DELL, HP, Lenovo, etc) then you will have to check the OEMs website and see what cpus they allowed the board to support.

If it is a custm built then you can go to the maker of the motherboard's website and find its cpu compatibility list.

A three digit model number is 1st gen core iX cpu. Socket 1156
A 2000 model number of core iX is 2nd generaiton Sandy Bridge. Socket 1155
A 3000 model number of core iX is 3rd generaiton Ivy Bridge. Socket 1155
A 4000 model number of core iX is 4TH generaiton Haswell. Socket 1150.

So you need a socket 1150 CPU that is supported by your motherboard
