Yah, sata is not USB 3 :(. I was thinking that is an cable, adaptor or convertor, or something else. I searched for few hours and I didn't find any solution. USB 2.0 i already have and I can use it, but some stupid obsession of mine wants USB 3.0 to boot from :D

Are you dong a temp linux boot cd/usb or are you instlaling the OS onto the drive.

If you are installing the OS onto the usb drive then you install it in the 2.0 slot, load the 3.0 drivers and then move it to the 3.0 slot.

You did not say you were doing a live boot so i just assumed you were doing a harddrive less system.

I want to install windows, probably the usb stick should be visible in BIOS, that's why i though i should connect it somehow to SATA.

The windows kit will be on the stick. I want to install it on an HDD, but no solution 'till now to see my stick in BIOS ;(

Ohh I forgot about slipstreaming it into his install

You would need to use nlite to add the usb 3.0 and the chipset drivers into windows.
This will work for you specific computer to do it this way, but you would need to load the specific 3.0 and chipset drivers for every computer you want to do this with.

Well no wrong again. According to some sites, XP doesnt support USB3.

So, even if you slipstreamed them onto an XP cd it wouldnt work anyway

With Win7 and 8 (cant remember if there's an add option in Vista), since you can add drivers, in the install / setup screen. you just click on add then add them. No need to slipstream USB 3 drivers on a Vista, Win7 or Win8 dvd

Is not only about booting from USB 3.0. I need some wires or something to connect the USB stick. Thanks to all for answers, but in the end i think that there is no solution
