Hello people of tomshardware. Im creating this thread today because Im having a very weird problem with my current gaming pc. I build this pc about a month ago and it has worked perfectly, however I always had a problem with my screen. My screen is able to get to 1080p when I choose the screen's resolution. But selecting this resolution makes everything look very blurry and weird. Text is small and difficult to read. This is why I been using mostly 1336 x 768 resolution that is what looks normal.

This last few days however I started playing smite. Just for trying I bumped the resolution in the game up to 1080p. Surprisingly the game looked much better. Text wasnt blurry and everything looked really good. Then I decided to change the resolution of the desktop but the same thing happened again. Blurry and small texts. Smite on the other hand looks much better on 1080p.

Anyone knows what could be causing this problem? My computer is connected to the monitor via a vga cable. My monitor only has a vga input. My graphics on the other and only DVI and HDMI so I need to use an Dvi to Vga adapter.

Solution
Have you installed the driver:
http://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/product/LS19CLZSFV/ZA#

Also it looks like the native resolution is 1360x768. So this is the optimal resolution.

The monitor brand is Samsung. As for the model it says syncmaster e1920 on the monitor. The operating system I am using is windows 7 ultimate 64 bit. I tried to do the same thing on world of warcraft now and while the game itself looked much better. The text on the ui and things looked blurry and small.

Thanks for your help. I downloaded the drivers but it still looks the same. Seems like I should be using 1366 x 768. I just found it very weird that smite can actually be played without problems at 1080p.
