I personally own the Gaming 5 from Gigabyte and I have had no issues, they are all good boards.

I own the HERO 2 and the Gigabyte Z97X-UD5H-BK.

I love both boards , I give the HERO the slight edge.

BTW The other motherboard you suggested seems awesome!! Why do you think the Asus is better?

The ASUS and Gigabyte are great choices , MSI has poor QC.
