I recently installed Mint 17 KDE on my Lenovo y410p laptop and have gotten just about everything I needed to work properly except for the sound buttons. The sound itself works properly, but I cannot adjust it. All the updates the Update Manager has told me about have been done already.
Normally I would adjust it by doing Fn + the horizontal arrow keys for up/down
However, while I can see the sound meter changing on the screen, the sound is unaffected. Looking at PulseAudio Volume Control, it seems like it is actually adjusting something called the "HDMI/DisplayPort" sound (listed as unplugged as there is nothing there) under Built-in Audio Digital Stereo, but has not affected the Built-in Audio Analog Stereo that has "Speakers" and Headphones" listed under it, which I would assume would be my actual speakers and headphones. Is there any way to switch the sound keys from adjusting the Digital to the Analog, as that seems to be what I need from what I can tell? Or is there a better fix for what I need (volume keys that actually control my volume)?
