I found I had a virus on my computer just an advert thing deaul4meu or something so I found a site that directed me through how to get rid of it one kf the steps involved revo uninstaller which seemed legit. I was in the process kf uninstalling it using revo however it kept nkt responding anyway it got to the point where it was looking for the virus in other files and I pressed delete all, I assumed that all the files it had found were to do with the virus I. Once I pressed delete all the program said not responding so I closed it all down then none of the soctware on my pc is working I try and open up e.g. chrome and it doesn't work none of the other programs I have work either. Also none of the desktop programs have icons as I assume the uninstall software deleted them. Someone please help I really need to fix this it has important family files kn there :/ thanks for reading any suggestiins please respond:)

Try a windows 8 repair install or if that won't work you'll probably have to do a refresh or reset.

Method 6: Boot Directly to Advanced Startup Options
1.Start or restart your computer or device.

2.Choose the boot option for System Recovery, Advanced Startup, Recovery, etc.

On some Windows 8 computers, for example, pressing F11 starts System Recovery.

Note: What this boot option is called is configurable by your hardware maker so the options I mentioned are just some that I've seen or heard. Whatever the name, it should be clear that what you're about to do is boot to Windows 8's advanced recovery features.

Important: The ability to boot directly to Advanced Startup Options isn't one that's available with a traditional BIOS...

Important: The ability to boot directly to Advanced Startup Options isn't one that's available with a traditional BIOS. Your computer will need to support UEFI and then also be configured properly to boot directly to the ASO menu.

3.Wait for Advanced Startup Options to begin.

Once you access the advanced startup options choose the repair windows option and follow the directions. If this fails to correct the problem you will likely need to do a refresh or reset, both of which will cause you to lose files on the system as it will either reset the computer to it's factory condition or completely refresh the OS installation depending on which option you choose. Trying to do the repair first is usually a better option.
