So I get frequent fps drops on my new PC usually when browsing web or playing game. For example if I watch youtube video, the audio will lag, the mouse will frezze like 0.3 seconds every 3 seconds same in games, frequent big fps drops for short period of time like 1 seconds or less. Why do I say HDD, well my old hdd I could not get it work on this motherboard so i took even older hdd from old broken sister PC and it worked, so I havent used this hdd for like 2 years and It's been left in very slightly dry condition for 2 year. Also when lets say I open C drive it lags or when im saving a file and open any folder it lags everytime I do that, I'm sure its hdd but you can always prove it im wrong

Hi there proropke,

Most probably the issues you are facing are caused by the old HDD. As these lags may be caused by bad sectors, I would advise you to back up the important data that is on the drive. After that, you can just run a brand testing specific tool in order to check out the drive's overall health status.
What was wrong with your newer HDD. It was not recognized by the system or something else happened? I checked this and it MOBO supports SATA 3.

Cheers,
