Hello all,

I am building a gaming pc and i am on a $2400 AUD budget. I would like to run most games at ultra, and i plan to play a lot of dayz in the future. I need a bit of help with a few of my parts:

PSU - I might get a CX 750M power supply, but since every other part is quite expensive, i need a power supply that is similarly priced that is more trustworthy.

Case - I want to get a Phantom 820, but how does it compare to a H440. I will be mounting a H110 on the top of the case. Will it fit?

Motherboard - This is where im having the most difficulty with this build, I don't know which board to get. I am getting a I7 4790k cpu, so I want to be able to overclock, but i want a reliable board as well. Recommendations please !!!

Part List (so far)-

CPU - I7 4790k
GPU - GTX 980 (Msi gaming edition)
RAM - Corsair Vengeance 2x8gb 1600mhz
CASE - Either Phantom 820 or H440
SSD - Samsung 840 EVO 120gb
HDD - Seagate Barracude 2tb
OS - Windows 7 Home
Cpu Cooler - Corsair Liquid Cooler H110

Please Help!!!

Well your build is definitely a lot more than what required for gaming pc.

Dont go cheap on PSU do you want to go for a SLI in future if yes then the PSu if fine if no then its too much and corsair cx series is not a good quality PSu?

Go for nzxt phantom 820 you can easily mount the h100i on the top of it .

ant good z97 board will suit your CPU.

I am giving you a build just like yours.

This on the other hand is an alternative build at much less cost but more or less identical performance in gaming.
