Low FPS Minecraft 1.8

Hello,

I have a pretty good computer, and I am getting terrible frame rates in Minecraft (1.8) I have an AMD FX 8320 and a GTX 660 OC edition (MSI Twin Frozr V), and 10 GB of ram. I have Nvidia's 344.48 driver.

Whenever I play MC, I get big dips in FPS. Setting locked frame rate to unlimited gives me a max of around 350 and a min of 90. When I cap the frame rate, it will also flex. If I put it on 60 FPS, it would dip from 30 to 50.

Try putting your render distance to 6 it worked for me and then slowly ease your way in to 12. If that does not work then pput your max frame rate to 120 which is the default setting also check if your graphics (in options then video settings) is on fast and not on fancy.
