Hey guys,

I have currently a big Problem.

Since 2 or 3 days my secondary Screen (1366x768) starts going on-off-on-off-on-off when im playing Games or watching videos on my normal screen.

I just noticed that when I open chrome the monitor instantly went off, when I used Mozilla Firefox it stayed on, after I started a Game (League of Legends) it started going on off again.

When I disable 1 monitor the secondary (small one) does not go off/on an has no problems, only using dual monitors causes the problems.

Im not using AMD Overdrive.

Solution
The HD 5700 has some known dual monitor problems, My 5850's did if I overclocked. If you overclocked the card, return it back to stock ans see if it fixes it. You can force the card to run in 3d mode which will fix it but make the card run a bit hotter, making the fan spin faster. I used MSI afterburner to force the card to run in 3d mode.

Another way I fixed my issue was to run a 3rd card along side my 2x 5850's. I ran a hd6450 ($20 card) so my 2nd monitor wouldn't freak out, and I didn't want the cards to run in 3d mode all the time and I liked overclocking them.

If you have another available PCI-E port you could run a $20 AMD card and hook your 2nd monitor up to that and it should be fine.
