Whenever I try to boot Windows 8.1 into safe mode, the computer restarts after the initial loading. It wont bring me to the part where my password can be typed in. So I used the msconfig way, it put it into a endless loop that was almost impossible to get out of. I pulled out the battery while the laptop was on and now it's refreshing. Any idea how to get into safe mode. (Ah, there is also a virus that locks the screen and gives a fake FBI warning. That's why I need safe mode.)
