Which monitor is better?

Solution
I would buy the ASUS. Why? Because AOC is not even close to ASUS in regards to respect when it comes to monitor building. Right now I am using a VX228H. Basically a 1ms 60Hz 1080p monitor. I absolutely love it. The ASUS is also 3" bigger making for a much more cinematic experience. I have never dealt with AOC tech support but I have with ASUS and they are just great
May I suggest a different monitor? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236313&cm_re=144hz_1080p-_-24-236-313-_-Product

144Hz for a decent price and 1ms refresh rate. Or do you want an IPS? IPS isnt ideal for gaming because of its refresh rate but if you really do want one I would go with the ASUS.

Watch the first 1:30 of this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Px3YcwPLxt0

I remember seeing that review for this monitor and figured I should share it! :)
Hope that helps! Cheer :D

thanks for the advice, I'll keep that one in consideration. I like IPS models as the colors seem quite nice and 27 inches is a good size for me.

Yeah ips screens are really beautiful when it comes to colours. I like going to besty buy or something at looking at a 1440p monitor vs a 1080p ips. The ips looks better even though it's res is lower. Hope that helped!:) come back if you need more help

The IPS asus should be decent for gaming right? I know it wont be the best option, but I would also like really nice video quality and would trade some refresh rate for better colors... (Best Buy has this stocked in the gaming monitors section online)

Best Buy is wrong :p. 5ms for a gaming monitor IS PERFECTLY FINE. Most people will not notice a difference at all. And the colors you get out of it in return is great.. Idk if you have but want that video just up to 1:30. And if not watch the entire thing :)

I'm just debating asus ips or aoc ips.... They both rated very highly, newegg reviews scare me a bit on asus though it won some innovative design award but aoc doesnt seem to have any low rated reviews...
