Hi all,

I am new here and I'm wondering whether the MSI 970 gaming has a 6+2 or 8+2 power phase since some people say it's 8+2 and some say that it's 6+2.

Regarding its USB 3.0 support does the said motherboard really have 2 internal USB 3.0 Connector since in its site it says it has 2 and in the egg site (I'm not sure if I can post site names here) it says it has 1 x USB 3.0 connector.

Thanks in advance guys and kindly enlighten me

1) USB3:
2xrear, and
2xfront (internal connector for case)

2) Phases:
Couldn't find info. Not sure it would make a difference to you if you know though.

*If you're building an expensive gaming system you may wish to consider going with an INTEL Haswell build instead such as a good Z97 motherboard and i5-4690K. That's my opinion. Lots of games don't perform as well with any AMD CPU compared to a modern Haswell.

Ok guys, thanks for your ultra fast replies so far, on the site and photonboy said that it has 2x internal connector, then the egg site and SR-71 Blackbird says that it has 1 x USB 3.0 meaning I can only connect 1 usb port. If it has one, too bad for me I was planning to put that board on a Cooler Master N400 which has 2 USB 3.0 in front.

Photonboy thanks for the recommendation but my budget only allows me to put an FX6300 on the MSI 970 gaming since the computer components costs a lot here in the Philippines.

SR-71 Blackbird, thanks for the info. Yey! The 1 x USB 3.0 header will support both. So based on my understanding the 1 x USB 3.0 header has 2 internal connectors, am I right?
