I was cleaning the system and hence plucked the HDD power cable and its data cable out but after cleaning when I am trying to reconnect it to the system back my bios is not detecting it. I tried with resetting the bios settings as well but it's not working out. Even if I try to format the HDD then too it's not detecting the HDD so as to format it. Is my hard disk fried?

The power cables and data cables are absolutely fine bcoz, I've tried it with the an another hard disk and it's getting detected there.

Good job on the troubleshooting with the power and SATA cables. Have you tried plugging the HDD on another system?
If it doesn't get detected on the other system as well, your drive most probably is failing and you should RMA it.
I'm afraid there's not much you can do, besides contacting your HDD manufacturer's tech support for further assistance on how to get a replacement for the bad HDD.

Hope this helps. Good luck!
