I built my computer about 3 years ago, the motherboard at the time said it can handle these processors - FX / Phenom II / Athlon II / Sempron 100 Series, the socket type is AM3+.
My motherboard is the ASUS Sabertooth 990FX AM3+.
My current processor is the AMD Phenom II X6 1100T Black Edition
PSU is the CORSAIR Enthusiast Series TX850 V2
Can this motherboard handle one of the newer AM3+ processors like the AMD FX-8350 Black Edition Vishera 8-Core?
Just looking to upgrade without building a new PC. I would go with the i7 on my next go around. I'm just not at that point where I want to spend the money on a new computer as the AMD does pretty well most things I throw at it.
