Hey guys, so I've got an fx-8350 that won't post. I've tried breadboarding, I flashed the bios, I tried a new power supply, I even rma'd my motherboard so I know that part definitely works. I tested the volts on my psu and they're all spot on. The only warning light on my board is the cpu light and the speaker doesn't give any problem codes. This rig worked for a month just fine and then crashed one day while on standy. Ah, and I don't overclock.
So any idea what the hell is going on? Is my cpu toasted?

My build:
Cpu- amd fx-8350 4ghz w/stock cooler
Mobo- asus m5a99 fx pro r 2.0
Graphics - xfx radeon hd7870 ghz edition
Psu- evga 600b
Ram - Kingston hyper fury 1600 2x4gb

The only thing left is the RAM and the CPU. How many RAM sticks you have installed? The motherboard specs says its a dual memory, so you need 2 RAM sticks for it to work. Try swapping out RAM.

You have thermal paste on the CPU?

CPU may be bad.

So i have 2 sticks of 4gb ram installed. Would the ram fail and the mobo still not give me a problem code for it? not even a led light?
and i had the stock thermal paste on cpu when it failed, but i have arctic silver 5 on it now.
I'm afraid the cpu is bad... I have an rma request that just got approved today, should I send it in now or try the ram first?
