my setup
i5 4670k
maximus vii hero z97
h100i
cs750m psu

at base clock running prime95 my cpu temps are hitting 80c+ @ 3.8ghz turbo
ai suite says my core voltage is 1.280v when running prime95 at 3.8ghz trying to overclock even slightly i start reaching 90c and bsod turning my voltage down slightly results in bsod basically do i have a dud chip that cant even run stock without overheating as a h100i should be far better than the stock intel cooler.
base clock 80c at 100% load with h100i with stock cooler my cpu would melt

Solution
You're all good temps wise, bump in 0.05V increments (from 1.23V), and you shall make it with some VCore headroom left. Also, anything under 80C and VCore under 1.35V is fine.

They run hot because of the thermal interface between the die and the heat spreader. You just lost the silicon lottery and got a bad chip for overclocking, you could try reseating the cooler and making sure the pump is always at 100% but other than that you cant do anything exept delid the cpu and replace the tim.

ive bumped upto 4.2ghz at 1.23v if i go upto 4.3ghz it bluescreens before i get into windows if i go below 1.21v it bluescreens before windows or shortly after. 1.24 to 1.3v at 4.3ghz still cnt get into windows my temperature under prime95 are 66c @ 4.2ghz
Is this the maximum my cpu will go or am i doing something wrong??

did as you said went up in 0.05vs managed to get 4.3ghz at 1.31v tried 4.4ghz went upto 1.36v couldnt get it stable but since i need 1.22v @ 4.2ghz and 1.31v @ 4.3ghz i think i would need 1.4v to reach 4.4ghz
atm ive got 4.3ghz at 1.31v with prime95 runnin max temp is 70c
how high can i increase the voltage too?
shame i spent alot of money on my pc and got stung by chip performance lottery :(
