AMD Phenom II x4 945 3GHz bottleneck R9 290 DD??

I am yet to buy this graphics card and im looking at finance. I was going to get a massively better CPU delivered with the GPU but I think it would be better to find out if my current processor could handle the jump before I splash out on a new one.

I'm going with this.

The PhII 945s I've had the pleasure to know seem to run 3.5GHz without too many problems -- that will help.

And, I suspect the R9 290 would be a serious upgrade over your current card .... so, if you are feeling froggy, might as well jump.

I'm going with this.

And, I suspect the R9 290 would be a serious upgrade over your current card .... so, if you are feeling froggy, might as well jump.
