Please look at the picture link that I uploaded. Per the MANUAL instructions, do I need to plug BOTH parts into the motherboard power or can I be okay with just plugging in the RIGHT side and leaving the LEFT side unplugged? Will not plugging in the left side cause any power issues? And if yes, then will the motherboard become damaged if it is underpowered and underwatted?

It depends on the power consumption of your CPU, if it needs an 8-pin connector then you plug in the 8-pin, if it only needs a 4-pin then you only insert the 4-pin into the motherboard, Only one of the two connectors need to be plugged into the motherboard at any given time, not both. What CPU do you have?

Check your the motherboard manufacturer's website under the supported CPU's list to see if the 4770K is supported or give me the exact model of your motherboard and I can check for you. I can tell you right now thought that your CPU is compatible with your motherboard and that you need to connect the ATX 12V 4 Pin connector from the PSU to the motherboard
