which is the best?

Thanks.

Look up some reviews, MSI runs the most quiet, coolest and has the most OCing potential. It'll give better performance (comparitively) than any other af 970, except Gigabyte's G1, which has highest clock out of the box, G1 still looses to MSI OCing wise, but not by a lot. EVGA is good but not AS good as MSI in this case.

MSI doesn't have the best OC out of the box, but runs the coolest, so has great OCing headroom. I've seen even 1.5GHz boost in some reviews, after OCing, so they do OC well.

I can attest for the MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4G. It runs like a champ and is quiet as all hell (well I can't hear over my case fans). Now they set it up so the fans don't start spinning until after 65C. So when I am not gaming the card is just passively cooling, which to me is a nice feature to have. Out of box you should be able to play everything on ultra settings and then some.

^Nice!
I'm thinking of getting a GTX970 late next month, and I'll keep that in mind. My other thought was to get the mini-ITX version that GB is about to put out, since I like smaller builds, but since I've already got a mATX case, fitting the MSI version is no problem.

Not going to lie. When I saw that Mini-ITX GPU, my thoughts went back to I want to build a super powered mini-itx pc for under $1000. lol but yeah the only issues I heard about with the MSI card is the coil whine (i haven't heard yet on mine) and the fan issue (one of the fans would run full power all the time. This has been fixed and if it happens they already said we will replace your card.)
