Does it worth GTX 970 SLI on a single 1080p monitor ?

Solution
Running games on a single 970 with high AA enabled does not seem to be a problem, at least not for me, since I'm running a high-end i7 CPU. I can get 60 fps performance in Battlefield 4 and Splinter Cell Blacklist with ultra and 4x MSAA; Titanfall with insane textures and 2x MSAA. I haven't tried Tomb Raider and BioShock Infinite yet, but I will when I get a chance.

I am thinking of doing the same thing. The reasons I want to do this is for the AA options.

To get my games @ 60fps with AA is a struggle.

Games like Tomb Raider. If I use 4x SMAA on the Ultra quality preset using Ultra quality AA, I only hit around 40-45fps.
However, games like Shadow of Mordor - no problem at max settings.

Depends on the game, but the higher the AA, the lower the FPS.

Dual cards should help with this.

For now I just lower the AA and I guess it is working out just fine.

I live in Argentina and buying 2 GTX 970 cost almost the same like buying one GTX 980 :/

6000 pesos cost GTX 970 and 10000 cost GTX 980 lol

Well in that case 2X970 all the way. If you have already bought every other part and your PSU is good enough to handle it otherwise get one 970 and invest those extra pesos in some other part.

Which NZXT PSU you are talking about? There are many of them.
Here is a PSU tier list-->http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-1804779/power-supply-unit-tier-list.html
If your NZXT is the one which is in tier 2 then it is fine otherwise get some other PSU form tier 1 or 2.

It is a tier 2 Class B so it should be fine.Although I recommend getting something rom tier one or tier 2 Class A.
And regarding DSR,Yeah it gives better picture quality and less pixelated edges. You can get a single GPU try it out and see if you like it or not.

That's why I said tier 2 class B. The modular is in the class A. I recommend the modular one though.

nothing wrong with 2b
even a tier3 would do fine, it's just not made to be used at max load and to do some crazy overclocks on.
so yes the PSU you have now is more then enough and will last you quite a while.

havent had any problems with my gtx 970 neither, battlefield 4 ultra preset, shadows of mordor, borderlands the pre sequel, world of warcraft(this last one does go under fps sometimes, but this is because of the game, not the gu)
cant say anything about tomb raider though
