So i have this issue, if i connect my monitor to the intel onboard graphics on the motherboard while still having the gpu installed the screen does not show anything. if I remove the gpu it works fine.Is there something i have to do in BIOS to fix it or is this normal?

you must go in the BIOS and deactivate the cpu video, and plug the monitor in the
vidoe card not the motherboard.

Most BIOS are set to "AUTO". So if a discrete GPU is installed it takes over.
I think it depends on the motherboard BIOS if it will allow both the discrete with the onboard.
