Hey guys i just wanna know what graphics card do i need to have stable 60fps on high or medium settings? My budget will be 80$-90$

my pc specs:
Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core 4200+
RAM: 3GB (ddr2)
Current GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 9400 GT

Btw, whats the difference of AMD and NVIDIA GPU? Thanks :)

AMD and NVIDIA difference:
Nvidia has better driver support, requires less power and produces less heat (generally).
AMD - usually better price/performance.

For $90 I'd go for the R7 250x.

FYI - I did a quick Google search and came across this:
http://www.digitaltrends.com/video-card-reviews/asus-radeon-r7-250x-review/

Looks like the R7 250x will get your around 100FPS. You'll probably see less but you should get 60fps w/o any problem.

Funny you got the exact same pc I have except for that I switched to another graphics card. LoL isn't a very hardware demanding game with GT 640 you can easily play the game on max settings with around 60 FPS.

That's an old PC so I'm in a bit of a doubt if you can actually run LoL with smooth gameplay. Can you run it with your current setup? Anyway am also guessing that you have a fairly low PSU... around 300 Watt... so a Nvidia gtx 750 ti is probably the highest you should go with that setup.

AMD vs Nvidia are to different manufactures of graphic processor units (GPUs)

But i doubt the compatibility. I bought this pc around 2009 idk if my MOBO supports ddr5 and also my processor is only dual core..sorry i am very noob on this things. Will this GPU run fine in my pc? thanks for the quick response. :)

Good point on the PSU.

@Dayumm
If you don't have a decent PSU you will not be able to run the R7 250x, should you decide to go for it.

System requirements show 500w PSU. Here is a $45 Corsair CX600:

The DDR5 is the memory on the GPU. Your motherboard should have a PCIE port to plug into, which is just fine.

The dual core CPU is fine for this GPU. It is a low end GPU, but obviously more recent than the GPU you have now.

Probably not. You would have to replace the kit. Remove existing RAM sticks and only use the new RAM.

That's bullshit.

I'm getting 150FPS max settings 1080P on this...

CPU
Intel Core i5 2430M @ 2.40GHz
Sandy Bridge 32nm Technology [2nd Gen]
RAM
4.00GB Single-Channel DDR3 @ 665MHz <<<

Graphics
Generic PnP Monitor (1920x1080@60Hz)
Intel HD Graphics Family
1024MB ATI Radeon HD 6490M

Seriously you can build a 3rd gen machine for $200 and it will blaze through league.

Plus if you look closer Riot states the following...

OPTIMAL HARDWARE SUGGESTIONS

CPU, Minimum: 2.0+ GHz Processor*

Recommended: 2.4 GHz Dual Core Processor

This build will do League at about 300FPS http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/ArmouredGRIFFON/saved/xJpNnQ
