cpu : Intel core i5 2310 2.9ghz
gpu : Nvidia geforce gt 520 low profile
ram : 4 gb (looking to upgrade )

would my pc support it ?

Solution
at that resolution you should be fine with the GTX 750 TI, it will give you a good performance in most of games .. and 300w will be enough and safe , but its better be a branded PSU.. you also can go for the R7 260x its faster than GTX 750 TI , but in that case you'll have to upgrade your PSU as soon as possible.
GTX 750 TI probably will run Watch dogs on High settings (with 8GB Ram, at-least 6) .. and R7 260x will run it on Tweaked ultra.

but i have read that Nvidia has more features like Physx and my friend once had a Ati card. He had to take it to reparing for at least 3 times. So should i take Nvidia or Ati/Amd? Also i live in India.

physx have a big effect to framrates, you can turn physx on if you have a High-end graphic cards, or it'll effect the performance ...in all benchmarks the R9 260x is better and faster than GTX 750 TI, and about the repairing part its just luck in the end, both AMD & nividia are Decent .. R9 260x requires 115watt at max. , your processor = 77watt max.
hard drive = 30watt , others 10- 20 watt ... total = 200watt

My cpu's TDW is 95w ,so r7 260x would require a psu but I am not looking to upgrade my psu as i stated above as it would out of my budget. So should I go ahead and get a GTX 750 ? And do I need to upgrade my ram ?

At the resolution you are playing you will be fine even with radeon r7 250 and if you want to spend more money go for GTX 750, its a very good gpu. And yes get 4gb more because you will need it for games in the next year but for games which havent come out yet only 4gb of ram is ok

you can make sure about the psu ...as for me i would go for the r7 260x even if i have 300w psu as long as its a good branded PSU and if problem happend (which unlikely won't) simple.. i will change the psu, if you dun want to take the risk then the gtx 750 will be fine too ... about the ram you can add another 4GB stick later when you have the money.
