Hp Pavilion Dv 4 1313dx flashing signal and or warning lights located by pause & tab show a single flash according to Hp CPU failed does the CPU failure cause collateral damage to include the Mother board

What failure are talking about?
How did you conclude that it was a cpu failure?

It is often a issue with cpu, but that does not exclude the possibility of the motherboard socket or controller being bad.

The only real way to know for sure is to replace it and find out unfortunatly.

I'll plug in my CPU and see if my Irish luck holds up after all its only screws, not nuts and bolts like a car.
