Haswell Pentium and R9 270 are no pushovers. If my AMD Athlon X4 760k R9 270 can play BF4 ultra settings (albeit 30 fps), the Haswell Pentium paired with it can play it at maybe 50-60 fps. The single core performance severely matters in that game.
