I decided to build a new PC because of my old one just being still the hardware from the beginning of XP.

When I got it all built up, and hit the power button it turns on for maybe .5 seconds and immediately shuts off, the fan spins once, lights light up, but as I stated it immediately ends.

My build I purchased was

Motherboard : MSI z97 mpower
HDD's : two black WD 1tb & 350gb
RAM:G.Skill (says compatable with z97 right on the front) 2*4gb
CPU: I5-4670k LGA1150 (fan on top w/ thermal paste)
Graphics : None, hoping theres onboard basic graphics.
Audio : I know theres onboard audio
Optic drive : Asus dvd drive
Power supply : older, what I'm seeing is that it has jpwr1 pin plugin, but not jpr2 3 or 4 plugin pins being 8, 4 , and 6 pin respectively. (squared, not lined)

Kinda seems like it could be the power supply.

Power supplies are the only thing I don't know what I'm looking for, do you know what I would ask for if purchasing a power supply if I require it to have 4,6, or 8 pin connectors?

all the modern PSU should be compatible with the z97 motherboard but i recommend getting a 80-plus bronze or better like this

Thanks, does this seem the most likely solution? I hope it has nothing to do with CPU, I'll go buy a power supply today, and if not I'll be back here tonight. Thanks for the help, any other help can still be shared.
