Hi
After my gpu's cooler death, i've replaced it with a new one, same voltage, but it wouldn't power on from the gpu socket. I had to connect it to the mobo in order to get it started.
Does this mean there's a short somewhere on the GPU?

One month later, the motherboard had stopped powering on after an intensive gaming night.
How did i suspect vrm failure? because if i remove the 4pin atx cable, fans start spinning.
Went ahead and tested the cpu on a compatible board, and it's fried. This is a 2 year old intel i3 3220, what the hell?!!! right 1 month after store warranty.

Now i'm ordering a new motherboard and cpu.
This is a really bug free gpu(7770), the best i had, i'm really concerned and not willing to replace it soon. Can it burn my next system if it has a short on it?

Also, i did have a post failure 2 weeks ago, when i've discovered i had to push the gpu sideways in the socket in order to start. I may have shorted the socket, but everything worked fine that week...

Any knowledge on this is appreciated, thanks...
