need help to pick a processor

If you are not OCing, then I would recommend the i5 4690 along with a cheap H97 mobo. The i7's have Hyper-Threading which basically makes the CPU's 4 cores look like 8 cores to most Video and rendering programs as it really speeds up the program. But, if you are only gaming, then the extra $100 for the CPU is a completely stupid idea. Both have the exact same gaming performance. The Hyper-Threading feature will probably never be implemented in games in the next 10-15 years as the current generation is doing really good without it.
