Alright, I tried my best and I can' t do this alone. All the problems came with the installation of the 3rd party themes on Windows 7 Professional. After the installation of that, with few themes, I noticed something was wrong. My Google Chrome and my desktop icons started to acting weird.
Chrome:
- left and right mouse click closes tabs;
- refresh and the arrow to go back do the operation correctly, but it is done in an another tab;
- can' t type anything in the upper space under the tabs, to do that i have to open a new tab;
- with the point up, that blocks me from copying and pasting links and stuff like that;
Desktop:
-well,I noticed only that I can' t move icons but i can only delete them;

From my (little) knowlegde I came to the fact it is a registry problem. I played around (not in a bad way) with ccleaner or smartpcfix but they didn' t see to be able to do more that finding the path of the wrong file. So. The problem is connected with the shell.dll ( i suppose?). I went and tried to do what should have been done in the regedit but that didn' t help either. By that I mean that I went to the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT, and then to the exe.file and lnk folders, to be exact to the shellex folder and re-typed the correct code to the drophandler. I rebooted the pc, nothing has changed. Hope you smart guys out there can help me. :)

start the pc in safe mode and do a system restore back to last good working configuration . make sure you set it before you installed the custom themes onto the system ..
alternatively you could do a fresh install of windows or simply run system, repair off the windows installation disk

Thank you for answering me. I did consider that option, system restore, however from what I did read on other similar threads(on other forums) that didn' t work quite well. The problem still remained in their case and I suppose it would remain on my pc too.
Another problem is that I did quite a lot of work on this pc, between documents and cracking programs(yeah, it s kind of my hobby now and I do that only for myself, I don't post it on the web). It' s a bit too much to copy it on a pendrive. Therefore, a re-install of Windows doesn't quite fit what I was looking for.
Is there any kind of other solution, I don' t know, something like changing the value in the registry, the binary code of them, or whatever to make it back to what it was before i screwed it up?

BTW
you can back up your files to another drive by running a linux live cd .. bet you didnt try that ,,after backup is complete then you can do a reformat of windows

Well, mostly softwares like, i don' t know...RegCure Pro, Pinnacle Studio, Cyberlink stuff. Of course I started with someone else cracks but I'm learning to do it by myself. I'm pround to say that I did crack Mirillis Action, which is well known by the fact it has the injector thing, so whenever you put someone else codes or fakes ones, it closes the software. No link to it tho' :D
Nevermind that, yeah I did not try to do that thingy with the linux live cd. Could you please explain me how to do it step by step?

in order to back up using linux you will need a
1..secondarty hdd that is big enough to backup your files and docs
2..a copy of linux on a flash drive or burned to a dvd (linux is a free os which can be downloaded off the internet (linux mint or ubuntu or puppy linux)..

now that you have the requirements
copy linux onto a flashdrive and plug the flash drive into your computer and restart the computer and boot from the flashdrive as you would with a windows installation disc ..

after that you will be in the os which you will see all the drives connected on the pc ..
go to the windows drive and navigate to you desired files and copy them onto the secondary hdd you have installed and your done

I shall put a disclaimer here.
DISCLAIMER
I do not promote piracy. Cracking is only a my hobby which has no intention to harm any software/game/other stuff. That said, this hobby does not have any purpose for myself either. I do work only with programs I bought, which means once the programs I got interested into are cracked, I do not use them and I do delete most of them right away. I do not let this illegal stuff to go on Internet in any kind of way.
I think that explains quite a lot. And jbrown, sir, thank you very much for helping me out with this "idiocy"I did.
