I have bought the Asus ROG SWIFT pg-278Q monitor installed yesterday: is connected via a displayport:
The screen never comes up (shows no image and says "no signal) during POST (bios selection), BOOT and windows load up. The monitor only comes up when windows has loaded - while loading the Win 8.1 profile
My BIOS is up to date and was working fine... I am afraid that DisplayPort simply cannot display the screen before going into windows, is that correct?

PLEASE HELP!

My set up:
Core i5-3570K (running @ 4.2 Ghz - slight auto voltage OC).
Asus Sabertooth Z77 Motherboard
Asus 670 GTX DC2T
16 GB of G.Skill ripjaw-X DDR3 1600Mhz
SSD 256GB Crucial M4.
HD Western Digital Black 2TB
CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D14
Case: Corsair CC600T Graphite White Special Edition
Running Win 8.1 64bit. Pro

Monitor: Asus ROG SWIFT PG278Q 2560 x 1440p

Also, if anyone have already bought this monitor - can you recommend color and brightness settings?

I still really need help regarding this issue/bug.
In short - the monitor shows no image and "no signal" - during POST and BOOT process when I restart or turn on my PC. It comes up when windows finished loading and is starting up.

So I can't use my main monitor to acess bios, change startup methods etc - and I won't be able to see any error reports by the system pre-windows. This really bothers me, can anyone help please?!

Monitor connected via DisplayPort (the only port this monitor has)
