Hello everyone,

System Specs:

Windows 8.1 Pro 64bit
AMD 6300FX CPU
8gb Corsair Vengeance 1600
GTX 650
EVGA 600B 600W Bronze PSU
Samsung 120GB EVO(OS)
1TB WD(Games)

Sorry if this if the wrong section for the post. I have my ssd for my os only. And my 1tb for my steam and origins/games. So I see the 64bit os keeps x86 and x64 programs kinda separated. The thing is that I installed my steam and origin client on my hdd instead. I made a Program Files folder on my hdd where I installed them at. Should that folder have the (x86) in front or does it matter on the hdd. The programs wanted to install to C:\Program Files(x86)\ and I changed it to E:\Program Files\ect. Will this cause any effects? Im a bit of a neat freak and 2 program folders on my hdd just drive me nuts like the ones on my ssd. I know the ones on the ssd/os have to stay that way and im fine with that. I have it where steam and origins will also install the game to the hdd as well.

"Program Files" and "Program Files(x86)" are literally just folder names.
The "Program Files(x86)" exists because some older applications look for that particular name as the default location.

You can install whatever, to wherever you like.
