Specs:
MSI GTX 770
AsRock 970 extreme 4
AMD FX(tm)-8320 Eight-Core Processor
8GB ram
750W GP PSU EVGA
Windows 7 Professional

Hello. So my problem is that at random times , often once every minute or more, my PSU usage goes up by 20-50% usage, aswell as a temperature on my motherboard(?). It causes all my games and pretty much my computer to lag and games drop down to 10fps. I made a video showing what happens: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UjCeYnOziL0 (playing BL pre sequel)

Please help me figure out what the problem could be. Im trying my best to give you alot of information since the last thread was closes due to none answering.

Solution
FX8320E was what I meant which is slower than your current FX8320 but would cure the VRM issue you are having, better board with your current CPU would be faster.
Problem is motherboard! They pulled the CPU support for FX8320 and Fx8350 because of VRM issues running those power hungry CPU's in that board. This is not the first time this issue is brought up here if you have overclock on the CPU reduce it or you can try to drop the CPU volts. Apart from that replacing the motherboard would be a permanent solution.

So it will last for years? or do i need to change it when i change cpu? And how do i know how long my cpu will last? if its less than 2 years i might aswell burn the computer to the ground right now as ive spent so much money on it since nothing works.

That is ass backwards thinking. Keep the processor and get a decent motherboard like a rev. 4 GA-990FXA-UD3.

FX8320/70E would work both are 95 watt CPU's http://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/970%20Extreme4/?cat=CPU

Im not sure you will answer since this thread is pretty old now, But im about to order a motherboard. I just have to ask , could it be a heat issue? Also you say the FX8320 is supported , but thats the processor i have?? If you answer then im very grateful. Also it says ''since bios 2.60'' Maybe my bios are outdated? Im about to check now.

Sorry i just checked , and my bios version seems to be 2.50 , not 2.60 , Do you think if i update , that could solve the issues? Since my processor is on the list and i do have a good top down blowing fan. Also i clicked ''pick as solution'' by accident , if you could answer this id be extremely grateful and you definetlly deserve the solution even if you dont.

It didnt go away , so im ordering a new motherboard today. I was thinking the MSI 990FXA-GD65 AMD 990FX . Would that be good? its about 130 bucks here. If you have something better in mind thats under 150$ then please tell me :) Only problem i see with this motherboard is that it doesnt have 3.0 usb support. Or should i just get the one you suggested , the Asus M5A99FX PRO R2.0?

based on the MSI website, it has usb 3.0 support---http://us.msi.com/product/mb/990FXAGD65.html#hero-overview

i had the MSI 90fxa-GD70 and it even had 3.0 support. even if MSI themselves didnt say that it did, i would have a hard time believing that the lower model had it, and this one didnt.

It was said in a review that you couldnt connect external 3.0 into the board. But i guess thats wrong. Oh and sorry but is it a good board? I have no idea how any of this works to be honest and im just looking for the best i can get with the money i have.

Should i get the M5A99FX PRO R2.0 instead?
