I have a single GPU and want to use dual screen. I have used the HDMI port for one monitor and the other monitor only has HDMI and VGA inputs. Which would be better output: diplayport or DVI? And which input should I use: VGA or HDMI?

Solution
Vga is the only analog port. Dvi-i has both but only uses analog when an adapter to vga is used. It really doesn't matter which of the others you use as digital all has the same quality, at least to the majority of monitors. Hdmi and dp have sound and dvi doesn't. Hdmi and dvi are probably going to have cheaper adapters to each other since they use the same signal type. There are differences in bandwidth to be aware of if it's 1440p+ or 120hz+. I won't say digital is better quality than analog, that's not right, but analog is more susceptible to interference and dependent on the cable/connection quality whereas digital isn't. Usually it's not an issue but why take the chance?
