I'm buildinga custom pc case and im wondering if it is viable to put fans at angle, i heard they die sooner and that they make more noise, how damaging it really is, what do you guys think?

I don't care if the fan die sooner it's cheap anyway but the noise might be the problem if it really does make more noise at angle, anyone have any experience with this?

I dont quite understand why you would need a fan at that angle, but this is from my experiences.

When they are at an angle the cheaper ball bearing fans tend to run louder, just enough so to notice when they are in front of you, not so much in a case. Newer fluid bearings and overall higher quality fans dont make as much noise.

There is really no difference on longevity on the fan by doing so, fans mounted vertically or horizontally work just fine, an angle in between shouldnt cause any extra strain.
