Hi,
I have recently purchased a Crucial 128GB SSD for my PC but am unsure on how to put my operating system onto it. I know that this is somewhere in my BIOS but don't know where. I have another disc with the operating system on that i can 'boot up from' that i know is necessary. If anyone could give me some steps then that would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks
Adam :D

Bios? Boot disc? NO

The new SSD should have come with Cloning software - you install this on your PC, then plug the new SSD into a spare Sata slot, make sure you have less than 128GB (-20% or so) used on the PC system drive to be cloned, then run the cloning software to copy the OS drive to the SSD. Then shutdown, replace the OS drive with the SSD and reboot

And that should be it

Hi, thanks for the reply,

My SSD did not come with 'cloning software' ...

I'm surprised - my Crucuail MX100 did, and I thought this was true of all Crucial drives....

You should be able to down load a cloning program fairly easily... but I would start by contacting Crucial in case it was an oversight on their part
