Looking For a Motherboard That Fits my Criteria

Hello!

Today, I am looking for a motherboard that meets these criteria -
Must support AM3/AM3+ socket CPUs
Must have a 970, 990X, or 990FX chipset
Must have seperate Mini-DIN 6 (PS/2) keyboard and mouse connectors (I have a Mini-DIN 6 keyboard and mouse that I would like to use to save USB ports)
A good power phase, as I will be overclocking my CPU
1 PCI-e 16x 2nd gen (or 3rd gen) slot and 1 Conventional PCI slot
Under $115-120, lower is better

No problem... I spent just a few minutes on that!.. besides we get something back each time, so it's not wasting time but gaining experience.

Choose from one of these... and check it includes the PCI slot and the PS2 ports... Asus seems to include 2 PS2 ports, Gigabyte and MSI include only one. The Asus M5A99FX PRO R2.0 seems to better meet your requirements.
BTW.. No AM3/AM3+ mobos turn up within the price range, but AM3+ only should support AM3 CPUs as well.

I have actually discovered that my USB to PS/2 mouse adapter does not work, and it's not really worth finding another one (for me at least), so a single PS/2 slot is fine for me. Sorry I wasted your time! :(

I'll be getting a Gigabyte GA970A-UD3P. It's a very good motherboard for overclocking on a budget. It also had good slot positioning, as I can put a slot fan above the GPU to cool my VRMs.
