System backup restore for Windows7

I want to wipe my main SSD and reinstall the OS from my 2nd back up drive. How do I actually do that and does it reinstall Win7 completely with all the data files etc?

If you made a Windows Disk Image it will be just like the day you made the image.

I have done both. made a windows disc image and also backed up my data to my 2nd hard drive. which runs at 70GB or so. If I wipe my main drive SSD how do I use the data backup file from my 2nd HDD to reinstall on my main SSD drive? Thats the burning question

Didn't you make a system restore disk when you finished the backup? When doing the image, the last thing you are presented with is an offer to make a system restore disk.
