If you are after instant gaming satisfaction, your existing CPU/platform can easily keep up with a faster gfx card. Which one you get would depend on your budget and the make/model of your PSU.

That motherboard doesn't have a very good CPU upgrade path: http://www.gigabyte.com/support-downloads/cpu-support-popup.aspx?pid=3833
Moving to a different platform would be best for the future. But changing the board and CPU won't change your gaming w/o a faster card.

That will work, but your FX-4100 will present a bit of bottle neck to the card at times. No problem... just that you may not always get full performance from the gfx card due to CPU bottle neck. The R9-270/270X would be a better match, unless you plan on also upgrading the CPU in the future.

It will help. Can't say if it will eliminate the bottleneck, but it may. The main problem with that line of processors is its poor IPC (instructions per clock cycle). But you may not get the FX-4100 to reach 4.2GHz and remain stable.
