Im making a gaming desktop, but im stuck with this question. Hybrid IS the cheapest option, but i heard SSD and HDD is more effective in the long run. I have been looking at forum posts about these in various sites but they are around 1-2 yeas old.

I need to have an updated feedback on people who have worked with these kind of things :)!

Solution
Hybrid drives were introduced years ago when ssd's were something new and expensive. The hybrid drives never became very popular. When ssd prices dropped consumers lost interest in hybrid drives. I just checked sale prices. Today you can purchase a 240GB SATA 3 6Gb/s ssd for $99.99 USD.

There is a second reason hybrid drives lost popularity. With hybrid drives the operating system, software applications, and utilities are installed on the hard disk drive instead of the ssd. As a result solid state drives were faster then hybrid drives.
